We are looking for a talented and dynamic Head of Business Development to support our company’s growth.

Main responsibilities

  • As Head of Business Development, you will play a key role in the day-to-day business development of our firm, including its growth strategy, positioning and pricing, structuring of service offerings, development and management of client relations, content marketing and thought leadership, drafting and quality control of sales proposals and pitches, etc. You will be responsible for the continuous improvement of our marketing, sales and business development processes. Your objective is to support the growth of our firm.
  • You will closely work with the co-founders, our team members and Only staff (including CFO, Data Scientist,…).

What you’ll do

  • Commercial offering & go-to-market: tailoring our service offering(s) to our customer profile. Bringing in competitive intelligence by monitoring market trends and the competition. Working with the co-founders to define and help implement the firm’s growth strategy.
  • Business development: responding to RFPs and developing sales excellence. You will identify, pursue, and secure new clients, by being the driving force behind pitches and guaranteeing the quality of proposals and RFPs. You will professionalise our marketing and business development processes, by developing and implementing initiatives to improve the operational efficiency and quality of our marketing and sales efforts.
  • Thought leadership: overseeing the production of relevant, brand building content.

Your profile

  • You have a Master’s degree and at least 15 years’ experience in business development in a professional services context or in communications, public affairs, PR, or marketing.
  • You are passionate about communications, public affairs and/or PR, and have a good understanding of the dynamics and challenges of these markets.
  • You’re an entrepreneur who loves a challenge. You have strong commercial, strategic and communication skills. You love working with and for clients. You can easily identify commercial opportunities and act upon them.
  • You enjoy supporting and motivating a team.
  • You have an excellent reputation and network.
  • You are organized, rigorous and like to get things done. You are solution-oriented and enjoy solving problems.
  • You are bilingual in Dutch and French. You are fluent in English.
